ACCOUNT HANDLER/BROKER – CITY £35,000 to £55,000

We are looking to recruit an Account Executive to join the Financial Institutions team in a City based Lloyds Broker.
You will be responsible for servicing existing accounts, including but not limited to, renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, preparing client reports and other documentation, liaising with clients and liaising with insurers and the actual processing of risks i.e. requests for debit notes and policy documents.
This is mainly a desk based job but on occasions there will be a need to have face-to-face ‘broking’ meetings with Underwriters as well as meetings with direct clients.

Your Role:
Prepare the marketing material presented for placing
Ensure all client documentation provided in line with Service Level Agreements
Assist in the preparation, co-ordinate and provide information for Tender submissions as required by Senior/Line Management
Attend client strategy/renewal meetings and any service meetings required by client under terms of Service Level Agreements
Prepare documentation for existing clients in relation to renewals and mid-term adjustments in partnership with Senior/Line Management
Take responsibility for the quality of marketing material presented for placing
Obtain renewal terms for clients and identify potential alternative quotations before producing presentations for senior/line management
Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required
Qualifications

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
At least three years of experience. Whilst it would be preferable to have someone with experience in the ‘Financial Institutions’ market it is not imperative. However, we would prefer to have someone from a ‘claims made’ background i.e. Commercial PI, D&O or Crime.
Educated to A level standard or equivalent as a minimum
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent planning and analytical skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
IT proficiency particularly MS Word and Excel.
