About The Role:
The IPT analyst will be responsible for managing the premium tax (IPT) and other Para fiscal charges compliance process as part of the Underwriting and finance functions.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
·Preparation of the premium taxes for submission either directly to the tax authorities or via fiscal representatives on a monthly or quarterly basis.
·Improving the current IPT taxes process to make it more efficient and as such a thorough understanding of IPT will be required. This will involve understanding the process from beginning to end, which will mean close collaboration with the premium accountant, the Underwriting support and the Tax Accountant.
·Reconciliation of the premium taxes in the accounting ledger and the underwriting system.

Experience:
·Experience in an insurer or reinsurer.
·Good knowledge of Direct Facultative insurance business
·Knowledge of European and UK IPT taxes
·Knowledge of Financial reporting
·Knowledge of credit control
·Experience of system and process improvement

Personal Competencies:
·Excellent communication skills
·Good knowledge of data analytics, system interrogation and problem solving
·Good organisational skills
·Advanced knowledge in Excel
·Intermediate knowledge of Word/PowerPoint/Outlook
